More gShift Love

Kyle Mann, over at PressXorDie, did a review of gShift.

One single note of rebuttal, we just patched the game with the added secondary shifting controls. Desura users will see that change right away, and can update at their leisure. Gamers that purchased it through our site will be contacted directly.

We're currently waiting on a couple more distributors to add some final touches to gShift integration into their services, and will hopefully have that news for you guys soon.

Mid-June Roundup

Guster by lastscionzJust got this in an e-mail this morning. Our first Guster piece by dA legend Chamba, aka lastscionz. Fantastic stuff. :)

We've reached our first download milestone! We also have over 1000 YouTube video views and over 4,000 video views on Desura,

We're also getting some more exposure. Our presence on Desura has brought us another international review. The French site GameSideStory did a review of our Desura launch. Somewhat late, but still very much appreciated.

In the big picture, we've got another distributor putting things in motion, and we'll be making that announcement shortly.

Follow the blog, twitter, or facebook for news.

Roundup

We are in the third week since release, and things are moving along nicely. We've got word out to some digital distributors, and we already have gShift available through Desura, an indie distributor, similar to Steam.
Our Facebook promotion is still running, though not everyone is capitalizing on it. With your purchase of gShift, if you Like our Facebook page, you can request Guster in any pose you like. We've already got him super power thrusting the moon and starring in a A New Hope homage cover. Get your original gShift art!
Stay tuned to Twitter and Facebook for the most up-to-date information.

500 Video Views

On behalf of everyone at deadweight studios, I'd like to thank everyone who's watched our videos or given the demo a shot. It's an up-hill climb, but with support, we'll be able to get gShift known and noticed, and be in a position to bring you even more great games. I don't want to give away too much, but slated next are a space shooter, a fantasy revenge adventure, and in conjunction with The NEXUS, a zombie epic the likes of which has not been seen in gaming thus far. Follow us on twitter or facebook for the most up-to-date news on all things deadweight.

OFFICIAL DEMO READY

Public consumption of the official gShift demo is fully encouraged, and supported by the community. Kristen Behrens has done us a great service yet again with another gShift piece for the examiner. Check it out, and check the site and THIS download link for the demo! Let us know what you think on our facebook, or twitter, or even on this blog!
The final game is slated for the end of this month, so stay tuned!

Technically Difficult

The demo has unfortunately been delayed. Code being what it is, we're finding small bugs, and we really want to present the best product for the players, so we're fixing them now. The Final demo should be completed in the next couple days, and we'll do some special downloads to make up for the delay. We'll make a big deal when it's ready, and we'll make sure you find out about it. As it stands, the game is still set to be released on the 19th, so be excited!

The world takes note :)

Jumping right in, we're happy to announce that gShift has gotten a writeup on examiner.com! We are very grateful for the attention and comments given.

Also, YouTuber GamerX240, a friend of the studio, showcased a play-through of the final level of the beta demo, showcasing some of the more advanced elements of the game. The full demo will be available by the end of next week. We're going to be deciding on a official release date around the time of the final demo.

On our own YouTube Channel, we've gotten over 250 views on the trailer, and over 400 total views on all deadweight material on YouTube.

Stay tuned for further updates!
